Our 2026 First Quarter MVB is Nathan McKone
Can you share a few sentences about yourself and how long you’ve been certified with the plan?
I am an independent broker in the business 10+ years and have been with Trinity since the beginning - AEP ’23/’24. I was born and raised in Michigan and I love working with clients from all over the state. When I am not working, my wife and I volunteer our time teaching Bible courses in the community.
Why do you feel you’ve been so successful this year?
Even after things slowdown from AEP/OEP I always try and stay busy with marketing and educational events and proactively service all of my clients with things like updates, thank you cards, etc. Staying organized is key! I owe a lot to my assistant who supports me with to-do lists, follow up lists, and commission auditing. This is a lot of work up front but pays dividends in referrals, retention and new sales. And I always make it a point to answer the phone every time a client calls.
What is a fun fact about you, or a favorite quote or adage you’d like to share?
I’ve recently gotten into fountain pens and it’s quickly turned into a small obsession LOL. But hey, when you are handwriting client envelopes, thank you cards, etc. why not have a fun pen to write with!
