Before AEP Ends: A Quick Check-In for 2027
November 2, 2026
Reviewing your coverage now can help you feel prepared for what's ahead
Medicare's Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) ends December 7. Before it does, you have time to take a closer look at your coverage for 2027 to make sure it meets your needs.
If you're happy with your current plan, it's still worth reviewing your 2027 coverage so you know what to expect.
Start by looking back — and then ahead
Think about the past year. What worked well for you? Consider the doctors and care you received, your prescription coverage and the benefits you used and valued most.
Then think about the year ahead. Has anything changed with your health or the care you may need? Maybe you have a new diagnosis, started a new medication or need a little more support with an ongoing condition.
A move can affect your coverage, too. If you've moved or are planning to move, Member Services can help you understand what that may mean for your plan.
Looking back at what worked well and what's changed can help you decide what you need from your coverage in the coming year.
See what to expect from your plan in 2027
You've thought about what's changed for you. The other part of the picture is what may be changing with your plan for 2027.
Your Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) is a good place to start. It gives you an overview of what's changing and what's staying the same. That may include changes to your premium, out-of-pocket maximum, copays or prescription drug costs.
The side-by-side summary near the front makes it easy to compare this year's coverage with next year's. You can find your ANOC at Plan Documents | THP Medicare.
Next, check your doctors and medications
Have a doctor you trust and want to keep seeing? Check the Provider Directory to make sure they're still in your plan's network for 2027. If you take prescription medications, check your plan's drug list to make sure they're still covered.
You can find this information at Plan Documents | THP Medicare. If you'd like help checking your doctors or medications, call Member Services at 800-240-3851 (TTY: 711).
You can also review your Summary of Benefits for an overview of your 2027 coverage and your Evidence of Coverage (EOC) for the full details.
Take another look at what your plan offers
Your plan has benefits and resources that can support your health and make everyday life a little easier. As you review your coverage for 2027, it's also a good time to remind yourself what's available to you.
These include:

- Dental coverage for preventive care
- Vision and hearing benefits, including a Flexible Benefit Card to help with related costs
