Our 2026 Second Quarter MVB is Maria Forgy
Can you share a few sentences about yourself and how long you’ve been certified with the plan?
I’m a lifelong resident of the Winterset, Iowa area. My husband and I have been married for 30 years. We have been blessed with three wonderful children and so far, seven beautiful grandchildren. I have five years’ experience in the insurance industry and have been appointed with MediGold – MercyOne for not quite a year.
Why do you feel you’ve been so successful this year?
I took over a book of business July of 2025. My area of the state had lots of plans pull out of the market. Many of my clients I had never met before. No two clients are alike, and neither are their healthcare needs. I believe in taking time to get to know my clients relationally, to see what plan suits their needs. When you take time to educate them, they connect. You can’t focus on the best commission plan for yourself; you must do what’s right by the client and that builds trust and relationship.
What is a fun fact about you, or a favorite quote or adage you’d like to share?
- Quote: “What would you attempt to do if you knew you would not fail?”
- Fun fact: I summited the tallest peak in Colorado, Mt. Elbert 14,440ft.
